Description

This vitamin D test measures the level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in your blood—the primary circulating form used to assess your vitamin D status. Your body produces vitamin D through sunlight exposure and obtains it from certain foods and supplements. Once absorbed, it is stored in fat cells and later activated by the liver and kidneys into its usable form.
