Basic Food Allergy Panel

Description

This test measures immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies in your blood that may be produced in response to specific food allergens. The panel includes testing for immune responses to almond, cashew, codfish, cow’s milk, egg white, hazelnut, peanut, salmon, scallop, sesame seed, shrimp, soybean, tuna, walnut, and wheat. If elevated antibody levels are detected for peanut, milk, or egg, additional component testing will automatically be performed. This helps identify specific proteins to better guide your conversation with an allergist.
